JCSAA Hunan Service Trip 2019

2019-04-21

Riding on the momentum of last year’s success, JCSAA brought together 13 JC Scholars to deliver quality volunteering service for students in a key middle school in Hunan province from 17 April to 21 April 2019.

Targeting on the needs of the left-behind teens and senior students preparing for public exam, JC Scholars shared with them effective learning skills and offered emotional support via positive psychology and mindfulness sessions. They also passed on essential values like cultural diversity, innovation and creativity to equip the students with an international perspective. Around 150 students and teachers were reached and inspired. Local media as well regional government officials also publicly recognised them for their professional curriculum design and motivational teaching.
