A strong sense of community is at the heart of the JC Scholar experience.  On 20 June 2026, Dr Heidi Hung (1999 Scholar) and Dr Szeto Kin (2008 Scholar) joined the latest In Dialogue with Senior JC Scholars session, sharing their experiences and insights with newly awarded scholars and members of other scholarship cohorts.

As part of the Induction Camp for the Compassionate Leader Scholarship, the dialogue session provided an opportunity for scholars to connect across generations, exchange perspectives and learn from one another.  Through a fireside chat and small-group discussions, participants explored topics including leadership, resilience, personal growth and finding purpose in life.

Drawing on their own journeys, Heidi and Kin reflected on how challenges, setbacks and unexpected opportunities shared their values and aspirations.  Their stories encouraged scholars to view personal growth as an ongoing journey.
